Hello friends! Welcome!

I’m Sheri, a registered dietitian nutritionist and certified diabetes care & education specialist based in the bay area. I work full-time in a cardiac & pulmonary wellness center,  enjoy developing tasty plant strong recipes, and am a mom to two girls. Nutrition is my passion in life. Here I’ll share tips for making food nourishing, energizing, and enjoyable in a busy life. My focus is all encouragement and no deprivation. Let’s explore what is great for you to eat, not what you should avoid. You’ll find lots of positivity here!  Join me!  

I encourage plants and balance.  A plant strong diet is not full blown vegan or vegetarian, unless that is what you want.  It is simply a dietary pattern that focuses on whole grains, legumes, nuts, seeds, fruits, and vegetables.  My goal is to help you feel your best with a balance of nourishing foods and optimal energy.

Research demonstrates a plant strong diet can improve:

*Heart health and cholesterol levels

*Blood pressure

*Blood sugar 


*Healthier skin, vision, and digestive tract

If you work with me one-on-one, I’ll help you create a highly nutritious and delicious action plan with healthy goals and swaps.  I want to help you find what works for you.  Nothing needs to be avoided.  When you really want something, go for it.  Stop obsessing, enjoy it, and move on! 

Some facts about me:

*Even though I grew up in the Chicago suburbs, I’ve never enjoyed cold weather. Sunny California is a much better fit for me! I’ve lived in the bay area for over 10 years now, it feels like home. 

*I attended Loyola University Chicago for both my B.S. in Food, Nutrition, & Dietetics and Dietetic Internship. Go Ramblers!

*I love to run! I ran my first half marathon nine months after my first daughter was born.  It was my way of getting back into shape and managing stress.  I have been half marathon addicted ever since!  Exercise is my favorite way to manage my stress.  What is your favorite way to relieve stress? 

*I love coffee and lattes and have to have one or the other every day.  They help me to be more alert and relaxed at the same time!

*I hate bananas! Lol. Yep, even dietitians don’t enjoy all healthy foods and that is okay!  My philosophy is you should enjoy what you eat, don’t ever force yourself to eat something you do not like just because it is healthy. To be clear, bananas are an awesome and highly nutritious food, you should absolutely eat them if you like them 🙂
